Boogaloo Crew are London stalwarts when it comes to Bass. They have been steadily building up their rep for a minute and it seems the fruits of their labour is paying off, their tracks are featured in mixtapes all over the place and they play out a fair amount, on solid lineups no less.
Here is the latest mix they’ve done for The Daily Street, volume 4 in TDS’s expanding series. It is on the house/2step/funky tip which is all over London clubs at the moment, but the tracklist is fresh and the mix is great. Look forward to seeing Boogaloo Crew soon and look forward to the next TDS mix.

This track is taken from Mr. London’s newest mixtape “I Want You” which you can download for free, here. You might have come across it already, but I wanted to post this tune because it really stood out to me on an all around great mixtape which contains a fresh cover of Tweet’s “Oh My” as well as some other gems.
Interestingly, there are two cuts which directly reference (or, bite as some cynics would say) Joy Orbison’s BRSRkR01 mix we posted a few months ago. Track 06 “Light Years” and 07 “Hey Wonderful” on London’s mix sample a rerub of Alicia Myer’s “I Want to Thank You” and The Revenge’s “Night Flight” respectively. It might be slightly far-fetched, but I’m almost certain that if Joy Orbison hadn’t featured those songs on his mix they probably wouldn’t have been used by Theophilus London.
