Our good friend Totally Enormous Extinct Dinosaurs has his first massive headline show tomorrow, with Donaeo and Lapalux in support. Being the charming guy that he is, he asked me to play records in between bands.
FB event is here, which will be streamed worldwide. It should be a really great party, what with all the dancers, inflatable dinos, confetti canons and other crazy shit that has been masterminded.

Many Faces Out Of Focus comprises six brilliantly well produced tracks from 22 year old essex boy Stuart Howard, aka Lapalux. The EP opens with a layered crescendo built on clicks and a seething synth sound, 30 seconds of darkness explodes suddenly into pop hits, tempered with sub bass, set against a sampled and repitched vocal. From this point the EP bathes your brain in lush textures, surprising and explosive atmospheres set in unencountered, unearthly spaces, all somehow perfectly set against catchy rolling choruses informed by pop and commercial R&B.

The nice guys behind Pictures Music are programming the gallery space for Off Modern, this Friday. There will be pictures from David Richardson and Armand LeFou while music will be provided by Lapalux, Seams and some Secret Guest djs. Looks like it’ll be a really eclectic and great night of live and electronic music.
