We started BTG in 2009 and we’ve had loads of fun over the past three years. Tonight is going to be special for a few reasons. 1) The D’angelo show in Brixton. It is sold out, but don’t worry if you didn’t pick up a ticket. We’ll be playing Brown Sugar + Voodoo in their entirety, back to back. If you did get a ticket, come back north with us after the show. 2) Our closest friends will be playing with us for the rest of the night. 3) Its the magic number, yo.
Call Super released a great ep last year called “Staircase.” He has recently remixed Renaissance Man and has forthcoming material on Throne of Blood.
Amit completely smashed it on NYE at secretsundaze. He has been dying to show off his solid garage collection, so I figured this would be the perfect opportunity.
Andy and Kaz run somethinksounds, one of my favourite new labels. Their taste in selection is definitely on a BTG tip and this won’t be the last time we rock a party together this year.

Ill Blu have released an EP on both Hyperdub and Numbers and are gearing up towards their next Hyperdub release. They will smash up the dancefloor just like they smash the airwaves on Rinse. Jonny Dub is the co-founder of Manchester’s Hoya:Hoya. Somehow his rep isn’t as big as his record collection (yet). Count Choc is happy to finally play back to back with one of his favourite people to bump into at warehouse parties, White Tyson.

We’re back from destroying the beach bar at SMS, Croatia. Been back for a solid month, actually. We’ve recovered and are ready once again to enjoy our favourite basement, Friday 7th October.
Nightwave released “The Feel” EP on Svetlana Industries in late June. Her dj sets are a playful take on the current Juke sound. Paul Pre shouldn’t need an introduction by now. He played for us a few months ago and was with us at SMS, flying in especially from Germany. Count Choc is glad to be back. And very glad to have our good friend Beagle finally joining the party. As always its free entry all night, open until 3.

The TEED show last night was brilliant. The place was packed and everyone in there was going crazy. Was a pleasure supporting him.

I’m playing tunes from 1am-3am on the Saturday session, right after Jon Convex (who is 1/2 of Instra:mental). Sooooo, if you aren’t in Barcelona this weekend I’d highly recommend coming to this. Its free entry as usual and they even hired in an extra rig to really make it special. I might be rocking a funny hat because I’m shooting off to this straight afterwards. As if you needed another reason to come…

So, we had our regular bi-monthly party down The Alibi on Friday. Thanks to everyone that stopped by and huge thanks to Izzy Lawrence and Josey Rebelle. Both played outstanding sets. We’ve just realised that we’d neglected to mention the party, or even post the poster up here. This was due in part to myself only getting it finished a couple of nights before. Still. Very. Very. Lame.
Our next party is happening August 5th with us, Mr Lager and Kutmah. Same time, same place. More info on that to come soon. Promise.
We are happy to announce Seiji, one of the biggest influences on UK dance music, as our headliner for our first party in 2011. His productions have been tearing up dancefloors since 1996 and like very few producers in the game he has been able to reinvent himself through several mutations of UK house without dwelling on the past. In short, he is a don.
Tropics is new on the scene. He makes summertime music that glides, swells and gleams – a perfect antidote to this time of year in London. His debut EP on Planet Mu, Soft Vision, is a hint of what he has up his sleeve.

Few shots from Friday gone.

Get yourselves down to Brixton for some tropical, garage, dubstep, hiphop goodness. Going to be BIG!! With special guest DJ The Fat C (aka me).
Our 12th night is upon us and we’ve got Totally Enormous Extinct Dinosaurs, of Greco Roman fame, headlining for us with a rare dj set. When he’s not chilling with Marshall Jefferson, or playing for Annie Mac, he’s writing music for you to dance to. He’s a good friend, an even better dj and his knowledge of Jungle is prettaay impressive.
After our great 1yr bday party at The CAMP, we thought we’d switch our steez up and move a bit further East. The soundsystem at The Alibi is potent, and the space is reminiscent of an NYC basement – so it seemed like a great place to have a party. We’re really looking forward to it.
Also, since we tend to see these more as events than simply nights, we’re going to have limited edition mix cds for the night put together by us, as well as some posters for you to take home.

We figured that new years day is going to be a write-off for loads of people. But January 2nd is a different story – so we’ve arranged to throw a free party at Cargo with a line-up that will hopefully raise more than a few brows. Reality strikes on the Monday afterwards so come and vibrate your buttcheeks with us while you still can!
DJHistory.com head-honcho Bill Brewster on the wheels of steel + Andreya Triana (LIVE). With afro-boogie and booty-bass sounds provided by us and the Üdio residents.
Free before 11pm, fiver afterwards.
