Mutha*fucka is another release on Philly Blunt Records. This track, from 1995, incorporates Dillinja’s trademark square wave sound which he layers on top of the sub. The b-side to this release is another great track which I’ll post up next week.

Dillinja has more aliases than any other producer I know. The track Gangsta sees him under the name of Trinity and was the third release put out by the Philly Blunt label in 1995. I got this track as a Promo in an odd record shop in Leith, Edinburgh when I was up there last summer for the Festival. It makes extensive use of a Terror Fabulous song by the same name.

Mug shot of a young John Dillinger
Capone, Cybotron, D-Type, Trinity, Apex or Dillinja. Whichever alias you know him by you’ll know he wrote some serious Jungle. “Massive” was the B-side to “Soldier”, the first release on Hard Leaders which is an amazing label. Safe. All Junglist!
