My Friends Will Always Say is part of a three-track 12′ tribute to Garage put out on Planet Mu back in July. The combination of morose vocals and sub-aquatic synths enhance the music’s melancholy. FaltyDL’s stuttering high passed drum patterns sound great and sit nicely behind the beefier hits. Will definitely be playing this in up-coming sets.

Recently found this Garage mix by Blunted Robots artist Brackles which he recorded a few years back. It’s full of loads of great blended mixes that remind me of DJ Zinc Drum and Bass sets. Like so many other leftfield dubstep producers, Spatial is really testing the boundaries of the genre. He seems to enjoy incorporating his own variation of the nostalgic Chicago house synth sound. This sound has also been somewhat adopted by Untold, another upcoming producer in the same vain as Spatial. Check out the below tracks and let me know what you think. The only downside to Spatial, as trivial as it may seem, is his incessant tenancy to name all his tracks 5 digit numbers. Maybe this gives off more of a digital / techy vibe but its fucking hard to differentiate between each track. Not practical…sort it out Spatial!!

2562 has deffinitly stepped up his game on his second album release, Unbalance. For the guy who is relentlessly campared to to the likes of Martyn, his second long player offering undoubtedy justifies the comparison.
