We started BTG in 2009 and we’ve had loads of fun over the past three years. Tonight is going to be special for a few reasons. 1) The D’angelo show in Brixton. It is sold out, but don’t worry if you didn’t pick up a ticket. We’ll be playing Brown Sugar + Voodoo in their entirety, back to back. If you did get a ticket, come back north with us after the show. 2) Our closest friends will be playing with us for the rest of the night. 3) Its the magic number, yo.

Call Super released a great ep last year called “Staircase.” He has recently remixed Renaissance Man and has forthcoming material on Throne of Blood.

Amit completely smashed it on NYE at secretsundaze. He has been dying to show off his solid garage collection, so I figured this would be the perfect opportunity.

Andy and Kaz run somethinksounds, one of my favourite new labels. Their taste in selection is definitely on a BTG tip and this won’t be the last time we rock a party together this year.

Free Entry
Definitely check them out! On Da Floor is an epic 8 minute track which only really kicks in around the 4:30 mark. It’s massively worth the wait.

This track, if nothing else, makes me grin. It’s probably the instant connection to the simple yet brilliant video. It’s not dissimilar to countless other tracks from the early 80s boogie funk era but up there with one of my favourites. It was dropped in ’83 on the album Love for Love. Also check out the Onra edit.
