BTG013 is the start of our new bi-monthly residency at The Alibi and we are pleased to announce our headliner to be King of the Amen, Jungle legend Remarc. If you don’t know what Remarc’s music sounds like then get a copy of his Soundmurderer album put out by Planet Mu a few years ago. Look out for a limited edition mix CD that we will be distributing for free at the night which has been compiled by BTG’s Fat C.

I’m playing some tunes at this on Saturday the 18th. Should be good fun!

Going on a holiday tomorrow, first proper one since December ‘09. Spending quality time in Nice with my better half and driving to Petrčane, Croatia (with a stop off in Venice) for Stop Making Sense’s inaugural festival. Can’t wait to play at this, the lineup is too good and the site looks amazing. A little bit nervous as I’m doing a peak-time 90 minute b2b set with James Priestley on Saturday night. I’m sure it’ll go off though, especially when I drop this.

Get yourselves down to Brixton for some tropical, garage, dubstep, hiphop goodness. Going to be BIG!! With special guest DJ The Fat C (aka me).

Just got these VIP tickets in the post, for Dâm Funk (live) with Mazter Blazter, Rustie (live), Tokimonsta (live), Dimlite (live), Paul White and Paper Tiger. Big up Soundcrash for putting on such a good night. And big thanks to James for sending me VIP tickets!

The all around nice guys and great programmers MMM have booked us to play on a great lineup with blog darling Mr Bashmore and new heat Throwing Snow. Should be good fun, so come down if you’re about!
Be sure to check out their other parties with EE and Mulletover over the next couple of months. The lineups are absurd!

The bottom of the stairwell at The CAMP. Eglo records takeover was a massive success. Dâm Funk even bigged me up on the mic after I brought him a couple of margaritas (that’s all he drinks). ha!

Paper Penguin Island, Secret Garden Party, 2010. Big up all the crew that came down for my set!

Chromeo set up, The CAMP Basement. It was their only non-festival show in the UK.

Thanks to everyone that made it down to The Alibi for our party on the 3rd July. Much fun was had by all, as these pictures go to show. Huge thanks to Emil Charlaff for the work behind the lens. See the full set on our Flickr.
The people behind Stop Making Sense, a new festival in Croatia, booked me to represent The CAMP. I’ve reciprocated by making this exclusive mix and answering some questions for their blog. Its worth digging around the blog, as some great people have curated previous ones. If you’re looking for a cheap festival in the sunshine with an amazing lineup, SMS lets you have your cake and eat it too. (PS, big up Toot Sweet for mastering it.)

I’m putting this show on with Eglo in July, at The City Arts & Music Project. They made an exclusive mix for the occasion.

[Ed. I just noticed that they have been voted Resident Advisor's "Label of the Month".]
Our 12th night is upon us and we’ve got Totally Enormous Extinct Dinosaurs, of Greco Roman fame, headlining for us with a rare dj set. When he’s not chilling with Marshall Jefferson, or playing for Annie Mac, he’s writing music for you to dance to. He’s a good friend, an even better dj and his knowledge of Jungle is prettaay impressive.
After our great 1yr bday party at The CAMP, we thought we’d switch our steez up and move a bit further East. The soundsystem at The Alibi is potent, and the space is reminiscent of an NYC basement – so it seemed like a great place to have a party. We’re really looking forward to it.
Also, since we tend to see these more as events than simply nights, we’re going to have limited edition mix cds for the night put together by us, as well as some posters for you to take home.

I recommend checking this out. I can’t imagine why the ICA has stopped doing these events, they always seemed really well programmed and quite busy. Its good that Andrew Rae is keeping them alive though.
Short animation to promote our next night. Thanks to Lily Gooding for all her help on grading this. Much love to all. See you Saturday 15th May at The CAMP.

Bridging the Gap is one year old. Oh, how time does fly! To celebrate we’ve decided to throw a massive party with some new friends. Man Make Music have been doing their thing for a while, and we’ve been meaning to collaborate since our party at Cargo (RIP) in January with Bill Brewster.
We asked MMM who they thought we should invite as special guests, they put forward the people that brought you the amazing free Oscillations compilations, Jus Like Music and Apple Juice Break. And they delivered way beyond our expectations. So, this party is celebrating the physical launch of these compilations as well as our bday.
It’s FREE entry, and everyone who comes will get a limited edition Oscillations Mix CD, mixed by Mr Beatnick. Only 500 of these in existence and each one is hand-numbered! You’ll also get a limited edition print of 2 colour A2 posters, which have been run on Cyclus Offset 170gsm 100% recycled stock. Also individually numbered.

HQD&B is a super-dope monthly Drum & Bass night in Oxford and this is their flyer, what I designed. If you’re around Oxford on any of these dates be sure to drop in, you won’t be disappointed.

It’s that time again. Get down to Market Place for a healthy dose of Boogie Beer brought to you by the BTG residents and Bother of Foals. Music to include: Disco; Garage and most probably some Jungle amongst other things. All to be heard on an extra sweet system hired in for the occasion. See you there.

Tonight our mates Jonquil play their first show of the new year at The Lexington, Islington. Part Fleetwood Mac, part Calypso, part tropical sun burn but all good. Listen to them here and get tickets for tonight’s show here.

I’ve become a bit tired of late with the Indian art shows hosted in London – the recent exhibition at the V&A included. They tend to focus on the same things: a turbulent political history, the riches of Maharajan kings or sometimes the quirkiness of Hindu gods.
This display of photography at the Whitechapel Art gallery did away with all that, providing a real insight into the last 150 years of the Indian subcontinent – including Pakistan and Bangladesh.
Many of the photographs can be admired independently as well as part of the exhibition as a whole. It’s worth checking out, whether you like India or photography in general, and I have no doubt that it will be more comprehensive than ‘The Empire Strikes Back’ Indian artists exhibition over at the Saatchi gallery.
150 years of photography from India, Pakistan and Bangladesh runs at the Whitechapel Gallery until 11 April.

Spotted this was on at Kemistry Gallery (Shoreditch) and thought I’d share. I’ve not been yet but looking to check it out in the next couple of weeks, as its next to the Studio it would be rude not too.
The exhibition is “Inspired by the collation and sorting of random data sources, Danish design polymaths Nan Na Hvass and Sofie Hannibal are reinterpreting information and expressing it by way of wooden sculptures, hand-benched silkscreen prints and offset posters.” If the poster above is any indication then we’re going to be in for a real treat.
Its running from the 14th January through to the 27th February. Kemistry is open weekdays from 11–6 and Saturday from 11–4, and its free. For a more detailed write up see the Kemistry Website.

We figured that new years day is going to be a write-off for loads of people. But January 2nd is a different story – so we’ve arranged to throw a free party at Cargo with a line-up that will hopefully raise more than a few brows. Reality strikes on the Monday afterwards so come and vibrate your buttcheeks with us while you still can!
DJHistory.com head-honcho Bill Brewster on the wheels of steel + Andreya Triana (LIVE). With afro-boogie and booty-bass sounds provided by us and the Üdio residents.
Free before 11pm, fiver afterwards.
