For the Love of Jungle #9 (mp3) For the Love of Jungle #9 (mp3)

Philly Blunt Records release number 2 in 1994 was Warning by Fire Fox (Roni Size) and 4-Tree (no idea). This is the Powder mix. The Yardie vocal sample is from the Shabba Ranks tune, Respect. The Reggae instrumental sample in the break down at 1.43′ is Wayne Smith’s Under Mi Sleng Teng which was also put to good use by Johnny Osbourne in Buddy Bye Bye. With regards to the track posted below, it cracks me up every time I play it out because at 2.54′ the drum breaks slip out of time with each other so it sounds like a bad mix by the DJ. Honestly, check it out, it properly clangs!

    hi mate!

    & here:

i was wondering what are the origins of the chorus sample “this is a warning, warning, warning, warning, warning, warning, warning, alright…”
the forum thread above was dealing with the same quesiton but with no success.

    Hello Doron,

4 – Tree being DJ Die would make sense. Re: “warning warning etc” I couldn’t find out where that came from either. Will ask fellow Jungle geeks though.

Going to post a track every week so keep checking back
